The decorator industry magazine recently put our work front cover for the Christmas edition. It featured the incredible work done to this home cinema room. Work involved 23ct gilding and dragged two toned finishing.

CECILY GATES RESTORED TO FORMER GLORY!

Situated at the end of a beautiful street in Cirencester, and leading to the grounds of Cirencester Park, is Cecily hill gates. Working with Carter Jonas Property Management, Barrington was responsible for restoring this iconic town landmark, and the team were delighted to deliver the project on time and within budget. The restoration gathered wide spread interest from the local community and local press.

With a very heavy heart, It’s tools down for us. Staying at home, saves lives and supports the NHS. Although the message is a little confusing about what is now essential travel to and from work and what is not, we all need to do what we can to be responsible at this time and this decision was ultimately an easy one for us in the end. #inthistogetherglos However, please don’t judge the self employed tradesmen who are out there today going to work. The situation is very different from the people fully able to work and earn from home at this time or people at home still earning between 80% - 100% of their wage. The self employed need support and compassion. We are a proud, local family run company and we are grateful for community that have supported us over the years. We want to do our bit to help, if we can. We now have a couple of vans going spare and a couple guys willing to do what they can. If we can help anybody who needs it in the local area, whether it be to collect any items, groceries or other essential items, please get in touch with us. We may not be able to help in every circumstance but will certainly do what we are able. Stay safe and please help support our local businesses when this eventually blows over. Sensitively stripping and restoring window shutters in our purpose built workshop this week. These are running in conjunction with an ongoing decoration project we have in Stow-on-World. It’s a great advantage to be able to remove certain items from a room and perform repairs and restorations in controlled conditions. A quality hand painted will last a lifetime. Check out this very clever yet simplistic kitchen design we hand painted this week. Good use of bold colours again. Seems to be very fashionable at the moment.

Our last exterior of the year completed last month on the grade 2 listed residence at The Park, Cheltenham. Completed using @zinsser Allcoat Exterior.
